A Brief History

When I was 6 years old and on the day of my parent’s funeral I ran and hide. In a cavern I confronted The Dark One who was recharging his aura. He noted my being there and in fleeing attempted to consume me. In the fortress of my mind The Dark One was about to overtake me when The White Queen arrived. Given orders from The Overseer, see took me as her own since it was the opinion of The Overseer that The Dark One was growing too powerful. I was then taken to The Realm of Light where the truth of the universe was revealed to me:

In the beginning, The Supreme Master created all things including Mankind and other life. He then created The White Queen and The Dark One. Their purpose was to intervene with the lives of the Living. Since The Supreme Master created all beings after his own image all beings were naturally good of heart. It was The Dark One’s purpose to spread evil that would consume these living things. This was done so that the living could understand what goodness was.

For centuries this has occurred with people being filled with evil. This evil having a mind of its own was able to control people into doing horrific acts. Some people were so consumed by the evil that it decayed their entire being until they became very much like The Dark One himself. The more evil there was the more The Dark One could restore his aura at his temple on the planet Earth.

It is The White Queen’s duty to serve The Overseer. The Overseer is the servant of The Supreme Master who serves as his messenger. Whenever The Overseer feels that a universe is growing out of hand he will assign The White Queen to intervene by sending one of her four elementals to restore balance: Love, Benevolence, Mercy, and Logic. Since Earth is the center of the universe it is often interactive with these elementals.

This is the order of the universe as I was told.

For years I lived in The Realm of Light until finally I was pulled from it and returned to my own body which had since been comatose in a hospital. With all my strength and knowledge from The Realm of Light I then began my quest to defeat The Dark One. The reason I had been released from The Realm of Light was because The Dark One was becoming too powerful. His evil was going unchecked. It was my duty to reduce the evil in the universe by tearing it out of the living.

Upon waking from my coma, with the help of my Uncle, I traveled to the Tree of Souls. There I was given a wooden sword that had the ability to cut through the flesh of evil without hurting the flesh of those possessed by it. I then made other weapons from my knowledge and with my Uncle’s help. Then acting on my own I sought out all evil I could find and cut it out of the heart’s of man.

On particle source of evil proved difficult. He was a human who had been so corrupted by evil that it was attached to his soul. He had a small group of men at his disposal and I fought him many times. He called himself Sheet.

Another villain who I faced many times was an evil that seemed mass-less. This evil had the ability to create it’s own form. It was called Changeling.

Their were other threats as well. Ones from other parts of the universe, across time, and other dimensions. But the real villain behind them all was the source of the evil…The Dark One.

Eventually I managed to crossover to The Realm of Dark and there I faced The Dark One. After battling for 20 years I eventually defeated him. I had killed the one who was spreading evil.

In the wake of the battle I was confronted by The Overseer who spoke to me. He told me that since I had destroyed he who spreads evil that a new form of evil must exist. For good can exist with evil. And so all creation in all universe was recreated. All was recreated so that evil was no longer forced upon the living but instead it became a choice. As a result the living could choose whether to be good or evil.

Because evil no longer existed as a consequence The Realm of Light was cut off from the realm of the living and the two could no longer interact. I was then returned to my body. I found that little had changed in the world. Evil and Good still existed. Some of my foes had vanished and others had merely been transformed. Sheet, for instance, was no longer an embodiment of evil but instead a person who consciously wicked.

My sword and weapons too had changed. Now instead of destroying entities of evil they could kill the evil intentions in the hearts of men. I continue still to use my talents and knowledge to save innocent lives by destroying this new form of evil.

Now an older man I now stop evil not alone but with a team of dedicated individuals. We travel across dimensions and times destroying wickedness. Also as an unexpected result of my encounter with The Overseer I have been granted the gifted of immortality. At the age of 52, I will never die. I, as Vigil, will live for all eternity defending the balance of good and evil.
